Chip by a Swedish brand Minus tio is a stylish yet modest coat rack, that has everything you need from a coat rack in a hallway, but without the fuss. It has a shelf-basket inspired by the traditional Swedish chip basket they use when picking mushrooms.

Their products reflect Scandinavian aesthetic and heritage and are thought thru to the final detail.

I like the simple things in life. And this coat rack is just that. Simple but it does it’s job. And that’s it. Beautiful, right?

So, I’m not sure if you noticed, but Heidi was missing for a few weeks. Travelling around Scandinavia. Now that we’re back and we gathered our thoughts it’s time to share some wisdom with you.

The first thing is Swedish fika. You gotta love a country that has a special word for a moment to slow down and appreciate the good things in life while drinking a cup of good coffee accompanied by a delicious pastry. Yes fika is all that. You can do fika or have fika. You can do it alone or with friends, at home or on a train. It doesn’t matter as long as you are able to take some time off and enjoy the moment.

Coffee & pastry

I guess for Swedes, fika is nothing special, it’s just a moment in a day, but I’m really enchanted by the tradition. It seems a simple coffee break just got promoted and became a lifestyle. That is fika. And it’s great.

For a more scientific explanation of fika see video below.

When in Sweden… You should really listen to some Swedish music. Forget Abba, there’s a bunch of great new music coming from the North. A perfect example are Pinemen. They haven’t got an album out yet but their latest single Predictions is a great start to summer.

Pinemen – Predictions (single, 2016)

I’ve spent a month in Sweden this summer and I still can’t escape the influence. The country is inspirational in every aspect. And the people… Well the people are extra nice and can also be really weird. But in a good way.

Recently I came across a Swede that falls in a weird category but his sound gets stuck in your head, and it forces you to groove a little. Even if it’s just in a bathroom while getting ready for another workday.

Enjoy!
