So this old cigarette vending machine in the rural town of Uchiko in Ehime Prefecture in Japan got a new life. It became an origami vending machine and it contains a range of folded origami designs. There are 18 total pieces to pick from and the price depends on their complexity.

According to Japanese news reports, the designs are made by a 61 year-old woman who runs the shop where the machine is located.

How lovely, I’m always inspired by this traditional Japanese art of paper folding and I think the idea is so sweet. A simple machine that delivers wonderfully crafted items that bring you little joy and beauty.
