The Checklist is again conquering new territories – location-wise and genre-wise. Side Project is our first Croatian band and as for genre… Let’s go with dream pop. It’s definitely dreamy. And it pops. All I can say is… Wow. Now all that’s left to do is wait for the album release. The duos second album Lonely Boys comes out December 1.

Time for the Checklist to visit a new continent. Heidi caught the Aussie duo Mannequin Death Squad on MTV of all places, however when we checked their YouTube channel we found that somehow they’ve managed to evade notice so far. Since Heidi loves noise and MDS make such beautiful noise, we can’t really leave it at that! Click, listen and repeat.

Yet another great new band from Los Angeles just released this video this week. The Regrettes that take a not-so-subtle swipe at Donald Trump in Seashore, are not really out of high school yet – the frontwoman Lydia Night is barely 16. They just released an album in January and they’re coming to Europe in the fall. Can’t wait!

When in Sweden… You should really listen to some Swedish music. Forget Abba, there’s a bunch of great new music coming from the North. A perfect example are Pinemen. They haven’t got an album out yet but their latest single Predictions is a great start to summer.

Louis Berry really has everything he needs to be a teenage heartthrob. And he makes some great music reminiscent of the legendary Johnny Cash. I just hope he adds some variety to his album (it’s supposed to come out in 2018), ’cause things are getting a little bit repetitive. Just sayin’. Anyways, he really deserves a spot on your heavy rotation playlist.
