Today a cartoonist, painter and illustrator, but at one point...
In his early years, he proved himself to be a good cartoonist, having a number of his works published in Ljubljana's Stripburger and Zagreb's Patak. His mother however, deeply feared an artistic career, and the lifestyle that goes with it. She decided to find him a real job - and found it at a post office. After years of getting up early in the morning and delivering mail, Saša realized this wasn't his life path. Retiring from the postal service, he threw himself back into the world of paintings and illustrations.
His constant experimentation with styles, colorfulness and witty expression soon brought him success and fame, making him someone whose works can now be found in his - according to him - little, godforsaken village as well as in famous New York galleries.
Saša is easily recognizable by his navy T-shirt... What do you know, maybe we have a new Picasso among us.
P.S.: and a little parenting advice: Do Not SMOTHER the creativity in your kids!

Given a choice, what kind of a tree would you be and why?
I'd be a Bonsai. You're kept in a warm place, cared for and fed, plus there's no chance of being peed on by any dog. When forests get cut down, no one even thinks of you. The only thing you could be processed into is rolling paper, but by the time they get round to it, everyone's going to be “snuffed out.”

A fact about you that surprises people, especially those who know you.
That I know how to help from time to time.

What would you have for your last supper?
I think I'd “shit” myself before thinking about food.
Who would you invite to dinner if you could choose anyone?
I like eating alone. Whoever that person was, he'd have to be totally inconspicuous, dressed like a tablecloth. God forbid he asked me something, or commented on something, and him dressed as tablecloth, as he is. At any rate, for such an occasion I'd be careful about picking the food, it would probably be seafood, but alas, I don't get to pick food in this question.

Who or what inspires you most?
If I knew that, I'd be sitting next to it and be a rich man.
What do you like most about the city you live in?
I don't like Matulji, I do however like Opatija, having spent ten years there working as a postman. I also have fond memories of a park where we fooled around a lot. Oh yeah, there's also the Summer stage, we always used to sneak into it.

Name your 5 favorite things!
A remote control, ?Power-assisted steering wheel, Winter socks, Toilet paper, ???
Which good book, have you recently read?
"Where to today?" You can find it at your local news stand.

What sort of music are you listening to these days?
Ah, damn it, I haven't been home or in the studio in the last few days, so I've mostly been listening to music in shops and those shopping centers, where they keep selling you things at once in a lifetime bargains. The music is terrible so I try to get my shopping done as fast as possible and get out.
What would you most like to do at this moment?
I'd most like to not answer these questions at the moment, and go play somewhere.

Who would you like to spent the night with, if you could choose anyone?
If possible, than I'd pick the person who owes me money, so I could explain a few things to him.

Who's blog do you frequently follow?
I don't read them.
